THE ELEANOR DRESS
THE ELEANOR DRESS
The Eleanor Dress is made with a soft double-gauze linen with a subtle check, though also available in our traditional plain linen. Lightweight and breathable for summer, linen is also an insulator that traps and warms the air around your body - layer up this dress during colder months and you’ll be warm and toasty.
With two pockets and an adjustable wrap style similar to that of our jumpsuit, this dress can be worn in so many ways to suit your style! This adjustable tie also ensures a comfortable fit at all stages in life, including pregnancy.
The Navy Check is actually a subtle blue-green greatly complimented by the pattern. Currently the check is only available in this colour but we are also offering the dress in our popular plain linen in Pine - check out this colour in action with The New Fold Dress until we have made a sample in this colour too!
Our fabric is 100% Oeko-Tex Linen - perfect worn alone or layered.
Buttons are 100% natural, made with tightly wound organic fibres, which provide excellent durability and scratch-resistance.
Machine wash at 30, air dry (do not tumble dry), and iron on “cotton”. Some colours may fade slightly, so keep separate from other garments for first wash.

This dress was inspired by Eleanor, who was desperate for a dress with buttons. I wanted to appease without going against the ethos within House of Flint. To reduce clothing waste and increase the life of a garment the best fastenings to use are ones that don’t break, as this is the most common reason for a discarded item. Buttons, though easy to repair, are a regular culprit, so I decided they would only be decorative to this garment, not functional. The fit is instead created with a tie at the waist, which wraps excess fabric to either the front or back of the dress, to create whichever fit you prefer.
