These are ready-made dresses in a deadstock tartan cotton. The fabric is very lightweight and has an almost silk-like feel. The main colour is an orange/red, and these dresses are all cut to the standard midi length with a bell sleeve and elasticated cuff.
The Eleanor Dress is the versatile dress that you’ll find yourself reaching for EVERY day! Wear loose for the ultimate easy wear dress, or nip in with a belt for a fitted aesthetic. Elegant scoop necks to the front and (slightly lower) back finish this look - and OF COURSE it has generous side seam pockets!

As this garment wraps around the waist it is the bust measurement that determines what size you should select.
Becky wears a shorter length XL in navy; Nancy wears a shorter length medium in mulberry; Freya wears a shorter length 4XL in redcurrant; I wear the medium in mulberry with baby bump; and Emma wears the small in the standard midi length, bell sleeve and without the tie-fastening. I wear the same in a standard sleeved version in gingham without ties.
Ordered this style before 2023? We have tweaked the pattern slightly (thanks to customer feedback), so there is less fabric wrapped at the waist - we hope you love it as we do this way!

Standard midi length is 29.5” from the waist. You can select “Short” or “Long” to minus or plus 2”. Add a note at checkout if you would like one of the other custom lengths pictured.
